I was tired of waiting for Christmas to catch up

So I’m making ornaments that look like you (and you, and you, and yes, you too!)

Christmas was such an important time in my family. Growing up in South Carolina, along with my 7 siblings, our home was always full of love and excitement, especially on Christmas! From decorating cookies, wreaths, and trees, to matching pj’s for the whole household, we did it all - but there was always something missing…

Growing up, I struggled to find dolls and ornaments that looked like me. If I did, they only came in one or two tones and their hair rarely embodied my natural hair texture. I’ve watched the toy industry evolve and improve, but Christmas ornaments seem to lag behind, so I’m making these ornaments by hand so every little girl can see herself represented in the magic of Christmas!
